agree re Bechio Andy - he played OK, but rubbish shots. Possibly best I've ever
seen him. Liked the kind of footie we played and were very unlucky to lose.
Webber looks to be a useful addition, and at least knows how to kick a ball at
the goal!

Bates stuff - for me, the price of football generally at a time when I have a
young family makes it easy for me to say that c*** won't get any of my money
ever! Dave N asked some questions of someone about what would make them come
back - my point would be is that the blood-sucking approach of Beast (and other
clubs) means that an older generation are likely to never return, as they're
just taking the p*ss. I watched it on telly, and there was probably as much
atmosphere on the sofa as there looked to be in the East Stand.

Thought we worked hard tonight and very unlucky... very worried about our
defence at the end though, 3 on 2 and we looked very dodgy. Nevertheless I was
greatly encouraged by the performance, Southampton were shite and the way they
crowded their keeper at the end made them realise just how good he was. Webber
looked half decent and dare I say it even Becchio showed one or two touches
even if his finishing was poor.
Can't believe we lost that game but feeling a lot more positive at how we
played.

20,000 crowd says a lot....
