I didn't think that was too bad today, maybe because I had no preconception
that we could win. As soon as Thompson went off, and that was a bloody stupid
challenge which is always going to get a red in today's game (well nearly
always, Pugh was a bit lucky not to see red shortly after) and Warnock let the
lad know it as he came off, I wouldn't want to have been him in the dressing
after the game.
We're not a good side but Warnock came with a plan to not let Reading play and
to unsettle them early on and it worked. At least I thought everyone tried
their hardest which is something I've heard we've not been doing of late.
Brown - Seemed to be everywhere, not fast but put in a good shift.McCormack -
Ditto, he seemed to be working his socks off, as did almost everyone but those
two seemed to be extremely hard working.Snodgrass tried but he's not got a lot
of pace, if he did he'd be devastating. Oh and that miss was painful, he had
time to control that ball and pass it onto the corner of the net. I think that
would have changed the game as Warnock might have made subs right there and
then.Bromby is slow and pants but 10 out of 10 for effort, he'll be gone for
next seasonI thought Bruce and Robinson did okay considering and I thought Lees
was good.Pugh is f*cking rubbish, he thinks he's much better than he
is.Lonergan - Did well with corners and crosses but thought he was caught in no
mans land for the first goal but can't really blame him for too much.Thompson -
He seemed to be playing well before the red mist descended. He seemed to be
able to put his foot on the ball and make a nice simple pass
. That tackle in the 12th minute with the Reading player going nowhere was
just bloody stupid, as I said Warncok will have ripped him a new *rsehole and
I'd be surprised if he gets a chance again this season.Which brings us to
Becchio....... I don't understand why he's not playing as a full back, he wins
every bloody defensive header but can't win feck all up front and when he does
he flicks it so far ahead we'd have no chance of getting it even if we had
Linford Christie playing for us. He's rubbish, he falls down, the only thing
about him is he works hard. When I compared him to Roberts it was obvious why
they're going up and we're not, Roberts was a big lad, made a nuisance of
himself and got into good positions. If Warnock rates Becchio then he needs to
find a bloody speedy striker to get on to those flick ons in the summer!
My main grumble is why didn't Warnock make subs at around 70-75 mins when some
players were obviously knackered. Also, as reading pushed further upfield for
the winner they were leaving gaps at the back, why not get Becchio off, put
Webber on, he's a big lad who can hold the ball up AND get past players.

Leeds fans - best in the land, outsung reading even at 2-0 down. Oh and Reading
are coming straight back down with that team, if that's the best in the
Championship then Neil has no excuses next year for missing promotion.
