Its almost certainly a crappy connection - running 7 devices off a "2"Mb
line is often going to be a problem.  

first off run speedtest.net without anything else connected and get an idea
of the true bandwidth.  Then run the pingtest option on the same site as
well to see how long requests are taking - any more than 30 or 40ms will
cause problems.

Try changing the DNS settings on your connection if you know how to use
googles DNS servers 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

Also shut down any torrent programs you or your kids are running and run
MALWAREBYTES software from malwarebytes.org on the laptops.
