An interesting comparison between Becchio and Chapman but not one I agree with.
I actually think that Becchio had his season year before last when Gradel,
Snodgrass, Howson and co helped him to his 19 league goals. Most goals were
handed on a plate, Chapman would have netted 50 that season.

Also, Chapman may have been a poor footballer but he was undeniably great in
the air , something that Becchio cannot claim. He wins less than 50% of aerial
challenges and spends most of his time not actually trying to win the header ,
but instead backing in our just falling over. I find this incredibly
frustrating to watch. He is only effective if unmarked in the 6 yard box. I
also don't remember Chapman losing possession on a frequent basis. He could
control and lay off. You only had to watch Becchio on Saturday giving the ball
away time and time again sometimes unexplainably ? The groans from the crowd
say it all.

I do think he has Chapman skills when positioning himself in the area which
shouldn't be underestimated because he does get into some good positions as he
has proved this season.

Let's see how this season pans out ? I just see a really poor excuse for a
footballer actually hood winking a lot of Leeds fans. I'm sure Colin will get
the measure of him soon, unfortunately there's not actually a ready made
replacement at the mo.

Even his chant is pure fantasy.
