Harold, if you go here, http://hillsborough.independent.gov.uk/repository/report/HIP_report.pdf you can read not just the report but literally thousands of documents For example, under S are SY Police & St John's ambulance.
http://hillsborough.independent.gov.uk/browse/by-corporate-body/index.html#definitions-s - from St John's Ambulance people, to a premeditated SY Police report a few days after the disaster, asking people for prior evidence of Liverpool fans being drunk, being ticketless etc. etc. in the 2 years prior (getting their excuses in early) - and witness statements from people saying they spoke to ticketless fans on the day saying they were going etc. etc. Heavily redacted and altered Police reports, transcripts of all the ambulance radio calls in/out etc. etc. the papers haven't even scratched the surface. One Police report says that an off duty Doctor offered to help and another copper gave him some truncheon for his trouble. Some of it is mundane, others are massively affecting. Powerful stuff. It was like watching a car crash last week, difficult to both read and not read at the same time. I was almost in tears at work reading some of it. Speaking personally, I always thought they had contributed to it themselves (however slightly) - e.g. you can see fans climbing the walls to get in etc. but on reflection that's probably an immensely stupid thing to say. The FA, Sheff Weds, the Police are all at fault. It's shameful, shameful shit really. Worst case the ambulance were negligent. I can't believe in this day and age it took 23 years for the real truth to come out. > From: [email protected] > Date: Mon, 17 Sep 2012 14:04:50 +0100 > To: [email protected] > CC: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [LU] Justice for the 96 > > Yeah fair play to the fans, on MOTD 2 last night there was a roll call of all > the people who died simply going to a football match.
