As you say Matt - that is the important thing.To get our biggest crowd the week before Christmas is unusual and shows that fans are willing to come back. We need to make sure that those returning fans or brand new fans love it so much they 'get the bug'
I may have been a bit harsh in my report, when looking at the match stats then maybe we did deserve it. I think the difference is that when you have watched them every week your expectations have been driven down and down. So when we are in front you spend the rest of the game worried about them equalising etc. and perhaps over-exaggerate how good the opposition are. Having said that I can only report what I see and feel at the time and I do try and be fair to us and try to remain optimistic. I was impressed with Somma - a player who I thought was underused and undervalued by Grayson - he looked sharp and looked to have ability and offer us something different. A shame he got greedy when he had his best run and ended it with a weak shot rather than picking out the overlapping player who was free to his left. I think he is a greedy player anyway (not a bad trait in a goal scoring striker) and I could just imagine him dreaming a getting a goal on his return so I do forgive him.
