So beating us 4-2 got Shaun O'Driscoll the sack, now what must surely be one of THE worst Club Boards in Football who appear to have absolutely no knowledge of football at all, have given Henning Berg the boot after 57 days. I did think at the time it was an odd choice and probably wouldn't last. There are a lot of clubs (and we're one of them) in The Championship chasing former glories and the desperation to get up to the PL is becoming an obsession that causes a lot of Boards to panic in ever decreasing circles. Looking at where we are now, I do hope we don't fall in to this trap going forward. History generally shows that it hardly ever works this way and you need to build it gradually. Despite all the negatives, and we all know there are lots of them, I think we should take stock and look forward with some positivity (is there such a word?) as to where we are. With all this in mind, I think it is absolutely the most important thing for us right now to do some SENSIBLE business in January. We have some decent, young, players in the squad but really need a couple of key buys to push on. A full back, A decent ball playing midfielder and another forward have to be key. Signing Tate and Thomas is not 2 out of that 3 for me (I was VERY unimpressed with Thomas yesterday).
