A new guy would have 7 games to run his eye over the squad and decide who will
be part of his plans and who will be slinging their hook. I've long been a fan
of O'Neill but now I wonder if he's got the same drive he used. I'm now
thinking I want a manager who's a little newer to the game, someone with a lot
of hunger and desire.
Adkins seemed good but he's now taken. My vote would be Gus Poyet, he seemed to
have been the brains behind the Wise/Poyet team, he's done well at Brighton and
would at least have us trying to play footy.
Of the others who are realistic there's Di Matteo and Di Canio, I don't want Di
Canio, he can take his fascist views and f*ck off.
As somebody said, this season can't end soon enough for me. I'm an armchair fan
but I've never been so apathetic about supporting Leeds as I have in 2013. I
just haven't been able to be arsed wasting 2 hours of a Saturday (or Tuesday
afternoon) to listen to Eddie Gray say how shite we are. There's only Byram to
be excited about and now it's fairly obvious he'll be off in the summer unless
we get the right manager in who can convince him that the future is bright at
ER. The youth might be coming through but we really need a marquee signing that
will get everyone excited again and make me believe that this club actually has
some ambition. We've had NO ambition for the past five odd years and it's worn
me down. I used to believe but right now I don't.
