I think that was during our 5th round FA cup defeat by Man U in 1995. And if I 
remember rightly that was about Masinga, who was back defending a corner. He 
was saying that players from leagues such as South Africa are tactically naïve 
compared to those with experience of the top European leagues, though obviously 
in that case the problem was a forward being back in defence.

Didn't Jimmy Hill once slate Lucas during an FA Cup match in the 90s (Brum 
away? Masinga scored?) saying African players didn't have the organisational 
skills to play centre half? I think we can spot the subtext for ourselves, 
here...
