I was SO proud of the lads yesterday! Before the game, I was quite
ambivalent about it, and perfectly prepared to accept a loss to prevent
Hull going up. But once it started, I was desperately hoping we would win
it. When it was 1-1 and Hull had just blown their game at home, even then
when a Watford goal would have been completely crushing for Hull, I still
wanted us to hang on............and Macca's goal was just a brilliant
moment.

Not for the first time, I thought the much-maligned Brown-Tongue
partnership was very good. Considering that it was a way weakened team - no
Warnock, Austin, Diouf, Byram - playing against a good footballing side
with so much to play for........well, it was a fantastic, committed
performance.

Can we dare to hope?

McD has shaken off most of the hoodoos now............we've won on a
tuesday, we've scored a first half goal, we've even won away! I don't think
we have conceded any 90+ minutes point-snatching goals under him either.
Now he needs to do the same next season with our hoodoos against Derby,
Birmingham and Barnsley.

P.S. Anybody else watching the snooker? How bad was that Hawkins-Walden
match? I'm surprised they ever got it finished, considering how hard they
were finding it to pot anything.
