I remember being really oppositional about the changes to the names that they brought in in RL with the advent of Super League, but I rather like supporting the Rhinos now. I do, however, have respect for those RL teams who chose to stick with their original names e.g. Featherstone Rovers, and look down on teams who already had this sort of name yet changed it e.g. Bradford Northern / Bulls. If this becomes a trend in Football, I can see it happening for the teams who already have a suitable nickname, like Hull, which puts us in the clear anyway. At least they're going for "Hull City Tigers" and not just "Hull Tigers", ditching the historic "City" name. It is somewhat ironic though that Hull would be the first football team to do this(?), when both of their RL teams took the 'no renaming' option!
