If this becomes a trend in Football, I can see it happening for the teams
who already have a suitable nickname, like Hull, which puts us in the clear
anyway. At least they're going for "Hull City Tigers" and not just "Hull
Tigers", ditching the historic "City" name.
Not quite true Nige - they are going for BOTH forms of the name according to
this
Allam wants to market the club as Hull City Tigers locally and Hull Tigers to
national and international audiences
