I laughed at this too. I am not sure if they thought that it would put pressure on Everton, but rather he wasn't their 1st choice. They bid 26m for Fabregas as well. Given that Ozil is apparently worth 44m, this was laughed at by Barcelona.
I am really hoping that they struggle this year. We all know Rooney isn't happy and hopefully he'll stick a transfer request in in January! Meanwhile we of course look like pro's.
