Well obviously "crap" is relative. He's a better player than me. He's a better player than Becchio.
But he is a mere shadow of the player he used to be, and more importantly, he is no longer good enough to hold down a starting place in a PL or International team. I watched him carefully during the recent match against Chelsea. The commentators rattled on about how well he played ............no he didn't. He did two good things (a sliding tackle near the goalline followed by a pass, and a great 40 yd crossfield ball), apart from that, if he tried anything more than a 10 yard square pass, he gave the ball away. (I've got a bit of a Walker-Becchio obsession about this!) On 4 September 2013 08:24, Ian Murray <[email protected]> wrote: > No he's far from 'crap'.
