Am I right in thinking that we've had a very good record at the Valley in
farily recent years?
Even during seasons when things where going peat-shaped eleshwere.

There was of course the famous 6-1 win just after Peter Reid took over, and we
even managed to win there the following season despite going down.
And in happier times a couple of years before I remember seeing Leeds win
there, with Danny Mills scoring a cracking goal with his left foot, that being
the last time I actually set foot in the Valley myself.

I know that before Saturday we'd lost the last 2 at Charlton, but maybe a
slightly fortumate 4-2 win has restored the natural order of things at this
south-east London venue.
