RIP John, never met you, we were streets apart in many of our views but I respected yours and you mine.
Had a read back though some of his previous postings and one struck me as particularly apposite given the possibility of a decent amount of money coming our way soon; "In my mind, WHEN Elland Road is bought back, my club, Leeds United will be one step closer to reclaiming their history, their standing in English football, and a huge step toward being where the club should be - in good hands and a season away from being back in the Premier League. Bring it on....surely we are days away!! John Sykes Abbotsford, B.C." Fingers x'd John, that the time you and all of us yearn for is not to far away and when it does you'll be in our minds along with Pete and t'others. If John's family are reading this, although our lost is minute compared to yours, rest assured that he touched lives in a small Leeds United shaped way all around the world. ta ta for now, John, True Yorkshireman and Leeds fan.
