I was delighted when we appointed BMcD and until recently I had not changed my view on him. I am though now officially worred!
I am not sure where he goes from here. A woeful result/performance at Rochdale, he throws down the gauntlet for the Wednesday game and look what he got? It became clear some time ago (Watford) that teams had sussed out how to play against a back 3. After Blackburn at home he should have binned it. His team selection/formation for the Wednesday game was bemusing. I don't think he should have thrown both Stewart and Kebe in straight away and especially if he did not decide to play a target man. For Leicester I personally would drop most of the side if nothing else to prove a point. This lot are not going to get promoted and he needs to send a message to the piss takers. Clearly we need to revert to a 4-4-2 (4-4-1-1 if you like) and I'd include Pearce, Byram, McCormack, Stewart & Kebe from last week's squad in the first 11. If I see Danny Pugh (Bilbo Baggins) put on another shirt for this team I will kick off, the dug out is just in front of me and I will make myself heard. Lees is useless and Austin is on cloud 9. I didn't think things could get any worse after the humiliation on Saturday and then we got the sad news about Bobby Collins. None of the current squad deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence, I think Bobby's Leeds team mates across the board have made very clear what impact he made on The Don's team. The only solace I can take is that Bobby had been so ill for so long he will not have been aware of that pathetic, spineless, shambolic pile of crap we witnessed at the weekend. Come on Brian, show us some positive outcomes of what you do with the players all week? If you play 3 at the back you need to be able to pass and retain the ball mate. The players you have and coach can't do that so come up with another plan or do one. Rant over.
