We have those every year... at home usually.
Losing 6-1 to Watford last year. 5-0 to Blackpool the year before. That
3-0 up to 6-4 down to Preston the year before. 5-2 to Barnsley and 4-0
to Cardiff in that season as well.
And our cup runs have only flattered recently because we've been mainly
playing Premier League teams. We've lost to a few no-marks when we
weren't: Hereford in 2007. Histon the year after.
And it's not as if sacking the manager around this time has helped in
either of the past two seasons we've tried it. We were 10th when Grayson
was ditched in Feb 2012, and ended up 14. Warnock left us on 12th in
March 2013, and we finished 13th.
