Couldn’t agree more, spent the day over the moor in Ilkley, watched the whole shebang…totally fantastic atmosphere, day, experience…the bizarre “caravan” that precedes the cyclists, with all the weird promotional cars some shaped like their products (?) and then the gendarmerie and the UK cops waving at the crowds as they came through…and of course the sunshine…and once they’d scooted past we all went round the corner to a house BBQ with loads of good food and chilled drinks and watched the rest of it with a bunch of Americans, some Welsh, a Dutch guy and various others all staggered by the beauty of the countryside we were watching them ride through. Wish I could get to either Holme Moss or Sheffield (for the final little bugger of a hill), today, but I can’t…
The only bum notes being the “royal interregnum” at Harewood and Cameron having the brass balls to turn up the finish line of something he’d actively campaigned against. > > > >> On 6 Jul 2014, at 16:07, "Richard Walker" <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> Brilliant day out yesterday watching Le Tour.
