Just listened to the Hock driving back from the game on RL. He says there's a
lot of work to do and the players need a lot of help. Genius. He's 100%
correct.

I think in all the recent years I've been watching Leeds I don't think I've
ever seen such a disjointed team. Lots of individuals , some who are actually
decent footballers but do they have what it takes in the Championship. I'm not
sure.

I've not got time for a full match report so I'll just stick with my views of
the players on the night

Taylor - 7. Big lad, didn't have a lot to do. His defence nearly crumbled
around him in the last 20 minutes but he did ok. Looks steady rather than
spectacular.

Berardi - 6. It's no surprise to me that this lad got sent off after 75 mins.
He started Karmakazily and he continued to do stupid things. Full lunge tackles
and high kicks all over the shop. However, going forward he really can play and
I was pretty impressed with some of his forward play.

C Taylor - 5. I don't rate this lad, he can't defend. His best moments are when
he goes forward, he has a nice left foot and can actually beat his man and get
a decent cross in. Maybe he's a midfielder but then I don't think he's got the
pace.

Wootton - 4. What can I say, he's a bloody liability. Pearce helped him out
again and again, He's got no pace, no awareness. I hope this Liam Cooper is
good and can play Satdi.

Pearce - 7. Our best defender.

Tonge - 7. Looks fitter and was atthe heart at most of our good play. Also made
one or two fuck ups and no doubt will be accused of playing more backward balls
than forward balls. Can't really argue with that but fact is he was our best
midfielder on the night That's not saying a right lot though.

Cook - 7. Impressed by this lad. Yes, like Tonge he f'cked up once or twice in
important areas, but he has composure, likes to get forward, good control. He
is 17 years old. I'd play him ahead of Murphy and Austin.

Bianchi - 5. Not impressed. Started out like he wanted to run the show. Played
one or two adventurous passes but then was just anonymous for most of the game.
He did get up and down the park but I thought he was a playmaker and I didn't
see any of that. I hope it's not him, Austin and Murphy in a 3 man midfield on
Satdi. That won't work.

Ajose - 5. Lively, cause a few problems early on. Looked like a rabbit in
headlights in front of goals. Not quite sure where he was playing. We had 2 big
men and then Ajose hanging around. Didn't work. I think he's one of these
players that if he gets a bit of confidence (from a goal) he might turn into a
different player but on the other hand he will probably turn into Noel Hunt.

Smith - 4. Is he fit ? He looked very slow. I know he's not exactly lightning
but it was painful watching him hobble around. He runs like he's shit himsen.
He won a few headers, had one or two efforts but was really ineffective. Sell
him.

Doukara - 7. I was maybe a bit harsh in my half-time opinion of him. He started
poorly and looked like another Haribo. He then got his goal, which was really
well taken and then started to play ok. Second half, he showed decent control
and decent movement. He's could be a rough diamond , he could be a poor man's
JFH ? I'm not sure , but he did ok today. Best moment was his somersault dive
for a penalty in the first half. Pure comedy.

Subs:

Hunt - 2. Came on , was played through by an excellent ball from Benedicic,
miscontrolled it and lost the chance. He tries hard but for whatever reason he
is ineffective.

Benedic - 6. I think this guy is the prime example of what a job Hock has got
at Leeds. This lad can obviously play, he wants the ball and wants to play one
touch passing football. He played the pass of the game to Hunt but off the ball
he didn't have a scooby. He didn't know what to do and just looked like a
liability. You can't play this lad in the championship, he's too much of a
luxury.

Poleon - 5. Ran round a bit.

Crowd - 13,000. Worst atmosphere for many a year. Actually there was no
atmosphere.  Not much enthusiasm for the game to be honest.

The Hock - 10. He has guided us on our way to Wembley. He says there's 3 new
signings tomorrow, Billy Sharp being one. Fuck me, we need them.

My mate reckons this was 10 times better than Millwall. Jeez, that must have
been really bad.

It left me thinking, bring back Murphy and Austin, all is forgiven.

Good night.
