View from the pulpit - well I quite enjoyed us passing the ball around to a
white shirt etc - a refreshing change from Colin's era! However, there are some
fundamental problems
1. Our back four are wide open, particularly to counter-attacks, and there are
still big question-marks around Bellusci's ability to defend! OK, he looks a
cultured footballer going forward, but he's lightweight in defence - I'd like
to see him in the Mascherano role that Liverpool used to play.
2. The offside law - this needs to be understood by our forwards - Antenucci in
particular. I think he looks to be a really good player, but FFS, time your
runs man!!
3. Berrardi - I think he'll be bench-warming again soon - either he's too slow,
or his timimgs out, but you can see him being sent off a couple more times this
season
4. Murphy - still no evidence he's progressing, and still struggles to control
the ball
5. Sharp - I never really liked him pre-Leeds and he doesn't fit into the style
we're trying to play

All that said, much better than last season - great goalie, good passing, and a
few good players. I couldn't fathom why they brought Morrison on instead of
Adryan - if Adryan is so 'unready, why have we bought him/taken him on loan?

Rough as hell after a full day on the beer. I was in the Nineteen suite , prawn
sandwiching it and whilst I can't do a match report it's worth pointing out a
few things which Terry Yorath, our 'legend' summariser said at full time.

1. Playing Beradi at left back only tells us thatWarnock's passport is not from
the right country. Who is picking this team?

2. Luke Murphy is not good enough. In Yorath's words 'he hasn't brought
anything to the party' since he joined Leeds.

3. The team is not good enough to represent Leeds. Too many average players.

I'd add to these by saying Doukara spends too much time outside the box
dropping deep. I don't think he's got what it takes. I'd like to see Morrison
given a run in the team.

Also, Darko thought Lewis Cook needed a break ! What ?

I thought at times we played some half decent football but there was no end
product. There's still no signs at all that this was anything other than a
ridiculous appointment.

Austin's second half performance was shocking. Austin and Murphy again. Surely
we've moved in from that haven't we? It's gonna be a long learning process for
Darko.
