I know what you mean, every game we do some really good stuff and I start to
think that we are on the brink of something special and then stupid defensive
mistakes cost us the points.
I hope we are not 'stuck half way round' and I do think we can and will
improve. Most of our team are young and capable of improvement and if Mowatt,
now he is looking fitter and leaner and much more of an athlete than he was
last season (his ability has never been in doubt) can become the goal scoring
midfielder who we have been crying out for then that is one problem solved. I
also thought last night that Byram looked a bit more like his old self, more
direct and more willing to go forward with the ball, hopefully Redders will
sort out his 'confidence' issues that have affected him this season.
Adyran looks like he could be decent and will get stronger and better.
So whilst I get your doubts I do honestly think things will sort themselves out
and we will be better
Just seen the penalty on LUTV and think it was harsh to say the least. Bellusci
did have a bit of a tug at him but that is something that happens at every
corner and free kick with no action taken by the ref. The attacker has then
thrown himself to the floor (as they all do these days) and Bellusci has fallen
onto him making it all look worse than it was.
As for the police etc me and my mate said the same thing when 3 coppers came
into the Griffin pre game having a 'look around' - we thought that was a waste
of money given no Leeds 'lads' were around and that Charlton have no sort of
reputation or 'firm' that is likely to come and cause problems in Leeds, we
even decided that it should perhaps have been one of those 'police free' games
, since they were never going to be needed

Subject: [LU] Turning the corner?

That's the fourth time I've seen us this season, three at home, one away, and
on each occasion we've done some good things, looked lively, nice play, good
linking in midfield, but then let in some rubbish goals and I've ended up not
seeing us win yet.

Each game has felt like we're turning the corner, but I'm beginning to wonder
if we're stuck half way round?

I do think we need some pace up front. Doukara finds himself in some excellent
positions, and if he had some pace to capitalise on could score hatfulls, but
he hasn't and won't.

Btw, there were 64 stewards and dibble in and around the Charlton end. Why?
They only brought about 300.
