I thought at the time that Sharp had mis-hit it but looking at it on TV this is not clear so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It also looked as if the ball from Cook was aimed at the onrushing Leeds player but was beyond him and fell to Sharp. I think Sharp is just an out and out goal poacher in the Linker mould. Since goals are what decide games I would rather have him than the non scoring Morison even if overall his contribution is betterDave …a touch or two and lovely cross pulled back to just just beyond the penalty spot, where a swivelling Billy Sharp shins the thing into the bottom corner…
Sharp - don’t rate him, doesn’t hold the ball up, can’t beat defenders in the air or on the ground…one decent shinner, but he was in the right place to get it. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] John 'Grampa' Sykes Rest In Peace old lad 28th Oct 1938 - 12 Nov 2013 MARCHING ON TOGETHER
