Not a great deal to say. A subdued crowd of over 17,000 did not have too much
excitement as we ran our fairly comfortable 2 nil winners.
Given their shirt numbers 50, 49 and 47 and only number 8 ,1 and 11 actual
first team numbers (although Ross Berlkey 20 did play) it is hard to know how
good this Everton team was and how close to their starting line up. We played
what is likely to be our first team (with Murphy injured) albeit Dallas has not
signed yet and will most likely replace Doukara. We did OK but it was hard to
see anything in either formation or attitude / method of playing that made this
Roslers team as opposed to Redfearns or mcDermotts etc. There was the odd good
move in the first half but neither side looked like scoring or made any real
chances. Our best chance fell to Wood but he was too slow and cumbersome to
make it count. Second half we got 2 good goals and Silvestri made a first class
save from a free header. Our first was a well worked goal that led to a great
one two between Byram (who perhaps should have shot himself) and Mowatt, and
Mowatt showed his class with a well placed finish. Our second Adeyemi (who
impressed thoughout) strode foward with the ball and played it through to Wood
who banged it in from outside the box.We did enough to keep my optimism high
but the best bit of the afternoon was  a streaker at the start of the second
half who did a lovely somersault totally naked.Anyway here is a link  to the
goals & roll on next week
