Your report is right Dave, one of the most unsatisfying victories...

I think part of it is the attitude on display and for that you have to look to 
the manager.

Every corner/free kick around our box that Preston got we had all 11 back there 
in the box - even when they had 10 men. When we got a couple of corners late 
on, they left 2 on the half way line...meaning we had to have 3 defenders back 
there. I never think it's right not have at least 1 man up for the long punt 
out of defence, but there's no excuse when they're a man down. 

The other example being, when we did get corners in the second half, we played 
them short and tried to shield the ball in the corner...

Both of which said that the manager and/or the players just wanted to hang on, 
having no desire or belief that they could press on and score more.
