for me that is root of the issue of being part of a bigger entity. I believe that we will be safer and richer and happier in the future by helping other countries to succeed. So a road in Latvia, increases their trade and helps people access education and healthcare, they become richer and have more disposable income, they spend some of that money with companies that contribute to the UK economy. they also are less likely to fail and engage in war.
