I was in Croatia on a walking holiday last year, and there's obviously been a lot of EU (ie German) money spent on new roads, marinas, transport links etc (and lots and lots of churches!) but when you look around you see that the lifts in the hotels, the air con units, the new buses and taxis, and lots of the cars are all made in Germany.
