Trying desperately to see positives, assuming we sell Cook and assuming (a)
we don't sell any more and (b) we use the money to buy Bridcutt and a
quality centre-back, this gives us as a team for next season as a
suggestion on a 4-4-2-3-1 basis (with cover players in brackets):
Wood (Antonnson)
Roofe (Botaka) - Mowatt (Grimes) - Dallas (Sacko)
Diagouraga (Phillips) - Bridcutt (Murphy)
Taylor (Denton) - Quality Centre Back (Bamba) - Cooper (Bartley) - Berardi
(Coyle)
Green (Peacock-Farrell)
That actually looks vaguely promising on the assumption that Mowatt gets
back to where he was the season before last and all the new signings have
some quality. Though lacks much depth - 2/3 key injuries and we're
struggling.
