I think I agreed mostly because of this, and I am a big Cook fan. I think 10
million is a huge amount of money for a 19 year old, but yes I always rated
him. Conflicted, me?
Having said that no manager seems to have worked out quite what he is - he
does not score or make goals, he is not a sit in front of the back four
midfielder and he is not a winger.

I just don't get this argument. I don't think you can replace Cook for £10
million in terms of his importance to the team now and his potential. So I
don't agree it's a good price and I am absolutely gutted by this decision. More
so than Howson and that was really bad. I blamed Bates big time for that one so
I hold Cellino responsible for this especially as we know Monk wanted him to
stay badly enough to pull him out of the England squad.
I am however going to stay positive because I don't believe the recent signings
were funded by Cook's sale and I'm hoping we now buy Bridcutt and one or two
others.
This season will be interesting,
