I think there were several factors influencing Monks selection today. Brighton and Newcastle went out of the cup yesterday so I think he probably thought that we'd be better off without the distraction. Rumours that Mowatt was sold without his knowledge. so maybe he wanted to send a message to MC. Who knows?
Feel sorry for the fans who attended having to spend their hard earned cash to watch us capitulate like that. Fortunately we still have a lot to play for and if we go up this season, I'll forgive him for today!
