I know this is probably all wishful thinking BUT if you recall the points
deduction will only be imposed this season if it results in relegation or
prevents promotion (which would otherwise have happened) otherwise it will be
imposed next season (or prior to March ??)
That was due to Bates taking the original 10 point deduction just prior to the
Derby game when we were all but mathematically down and so it had no practical
effect. The FA/FL were not happy with this 'loophole' and closed it
