Here's my report from the part time perspective.
A pretty shitty performance all-in-all. Preston my well have gone on and won
it if it wasn't for the sending off, which was stupid of the bloke wot did it.
At that point, I looked at my son and said. They've got out of jail here, and
should go on to win now.
After that we did have 3 excellent chances, which the keeper saved well. But a
lot of the crosses were poor. They should have switched the wingers onto the
'correct' side for them when Dallas came on, as there was space down the wings,
which was not taken advantage of when they kept coming inside to cross with
their stronger foot.

I thought Preston's late chance took a deflection onto the bar, but I may be
wrong as I haven't seen it back.

It was difficult to believe so many players played their worst game in a Leeds
shirt.
It was as though they all thought it was going to be easy after the previous 2
games.
Many were guilty of over-doing the touches and turns, which Preston read and
closed-down.
The worst culprits were Hernandez, O'Kane and even Ayling in the first half.

Jansson looked rusty, but improved in the 2nd, as did Ayling.
Cooper seems to constantly get in the wrong position around the player he is
marking and consequently has to make an awkward-looking challenge to rescue
himself. This could be why he gets so many strange injuries.

In fact only the Scum-Lad, and Saiz come away with much credit overall.

But the place where the malaise started, was Felix, even if you cannot blame
him entirely. After dong a couple of successful chipped clearances, Preston
caught onto it. From that point, every kick seemed to give possession to
Preston about 40 yds from Leeds goal. As Leeds got frustrated with losing
possession, Preston gained in confidence.
We suspected, and it was proved correct, that he was hardly capable of clearing
the half-way line with a place kick, even when he stole 10 yards on every
free-kick. Christ knows what he would have done with the old balls we used in
the 60s. I don't recall him actually trying to kick from hand at all, but IMO
Green has to come back in just because of his Wiedwald's kicking.

Back to the armchair.
