Thought that was an exceptionally reasoned review Rich, I don't think we
should get carried away. We ARE better than we were last season on early
showings, but there's still a lot of work to be done. It'll take another
5 games at least before we're really in the know about where we are, but
it is very promising. We need to replace Wood (Bleedin' obvious
statement #472!) and maybe the rumours of this lad from Arsenal and the
out of favour one from Hamburg will collectively give us options?
Other than injuries, which are always a concern, my main concern though
is the lack of serious game time for Viera. I think in Phillips, O'Kane
and Viera we have some really decent young players under long contracts
that are only going to get better now with experience, hence (Probably)
why TC feels Bridcutt can move on at 29 (I think?). If Viera doesn't
start to get a proper look in and REALLY challenge for Championship
starting XI rather than Mickey Mouse Cup line up, he could become
restless and the scum of the earth (aka Agents) will get in his ear and
cause problems.
Also, whilst Cooper IS playing well, how long is the Everton lad out
for? Would prefer 3 chasing 2 spots ... Ups everyone's game

It *was *a thoroughly excellent performance and a massive victory, but
let's face it.............Sunderland were abject rubbish. Are they just
crap, or did we make them look bad? Given their previous results, you

That was the first time I've seen us play this season............wow,
what
a player Saiz is!
But my hero from that match was Liam Cooper...............apart from
his
astonishing, match-changing goalline save, he was superb throughout. I
think he is showing excellent character to be playing so well after the
toll last season's events must have taken on his confidence.
