I've been saying it for months, and I haven't changed my opinion - this team could do okay if we just had a quality ball-winning/distributing midfielder (in the David Batty mold). All this talk of signing more strikers or whatever is bullshit. We need steel in midfield. Any team worth its salt has worked out that if they boss the middle, we're useless. What we do about this in this transfer window will say all we need to know about those in charge of our transfer dealings. Sadly, I mostly expect more unknown strikers to be signed. On loan.
