A couple of thoughts / comments about 'spying' First - I was out last night
with some mates - 2 are Man City ST holders, 1 is scum and one Everton - All
four agreed that 'everyone does it' 'nothing wrong with it' and ' media and
other reaction well over the top' - no idea if these 4 are representative of
fans in general but not one felt what we had done was wrong or deserved
punishmentSecond - when the EFL /FA consider it all I hope they look at the
stuff Lampard has said which contradicts tweets from the Derbyshire police who
have catagorically denied that the person was on private land, that they
themselves went onto the training ground (so no disruption of training - even
Scott Carson said it delayed them for 5 minutes maximum) and that the bloke had
pliers or other similar tools and so they released him without charge etc since
no laws were brokenThird - I cannot believe (well I can, but it is strange) how
none of the media seem to understand what Beilsa was saying - some have gone on
about how meticulous his preparation is , others saying it is common-place,
Phil Hay has had to correct Henry Winter and explain that the point of the
presentation was - as Phil puts it "only point I'd make Henry is that Bielsa
wasn't trying to suggest that his analysis was exceptional or unique. He was
asking the question of whether one scouting trip could make a material
difference to a result when the opposition had been so heavily researched
already"
Finally no-one has mentioned the fact, as pointed out by my wife the first time
she watched Bielsa (and she is very knowledgeble in this area (it is her job)
Bielsa clearly has at the very least Aspergers if not actual autism or to quote
her "wow he is on the spectrum" - this explains his refusal for one on one
interviews and his total lack of eye contact when speaking as well as his
'obsessional nature and OCD' which he himself referred to - he did not spy to
get an advantage as such, he did it because he could not sleep at night if he
did not do everything possible - his own quote at the end shows his
insecurities "I do it because I am stupid" - so in this era when football is
all about 'mental health' even to the squiggle on players shirts surely
Beilsa's mental state should be taken into account
No doubt if we have a bad result tomorrow the press will blame it on the fact
that we did not 'spy' on Stoke rather than individual or team performance
Whatever F them all - we are Leeds and Bielsa is a brilliant manager for us
I see our paranoia is being fed again this week with Troy Deeney getting a fine
(Charlie Austin nothing) compared to Pontus's one match ban for slagging the
ref -

I thought that was a pretty good article to be honest - nice to read one with
a balanced view. Presumably not on Sky’s pay-roll :-)
