Totally agree....Those dinked chips to Ayling scare the bejeesus out of me.
I like the way this team works off the ball, playing out from defence but you
wonder what the plan B was. Sky picked up quite early about the change in
formation but did we do anything differently? Even at half time? Sticking to
your principles is principled but…?

Move on, fella! It’s not tiddlywinks.
Either that, or he’s carrying an injury and is worried about being injured.
Just the way he walks about annoys me, languid. There’s no urgency in his work.
Reminds me of Viduka but at least he knew where the goal was sometimes.
Phillips was the same for me (last season), stroller and pointer. The game
passed him by but this season, he’s been much better. Apart from last night,
when Lappard put one of his players on him 1-1 and he panicked a bit.

Maybe we just expect too much.
Difficult to get a good picture of the game on TV and there’s a reason I do
what I do for a living and don’t work in football, I know fuck all.

Yep - I said this. Neither Roofe or Bamford look comfortable to me as lone
strikers. I think Bamford needs someone with Roofe's movement to give him a bit
more space to operate in. Having said that, his confidence looks shot to me and
i couldn't see him scoring at all last night.
