It's more straightforward than that

He plays a player he 'likes' until that player is 1. injured, 2. unavailable or
has 3. 'let him down'

Likes = rates, believes in, however you want to couch it.

Even if they have fucked up (Ayling), he won't drop them. Either they can prove
him right and vindicate him, or not. See 3.

I can't think of a player who has missed out, who doesn’t fit the 3 criteria
above. Even the first 2.

He doesn't believe in rotation (unless it is a cup, which he doesn't seem to
care about anyway)

I can only think a tweak in formation would bring a 'new' player in for someone
else. E.g. dropping a central midfielder.

He does occasionally change it at half time, which could be an acknowledgement
he got it wrong, or equally changed to suit the game dynamic. E.g. last week
Harrison off, Costa on. Was Costa much better? Will Harrison start again, most
likely.

Unless Bamford is injured, suspended, has a shit fit or strop, I can't see him
being dropped. Even if he had a goal drought.

Yes you've missed:

Nketiah just joined, maybe still not up to speed with how the machine works

Bielsa watches him and Bamford every single day

We are Top

Bamford has scored goals and gets on the end of chances

And not being rude, but Bielsa has coached and managed at the very top and you
have?......

In Bielsa we trust? I don't get why he insists on starting with the semi out
of form, frustrated and unreliable Bamford when Eddie is so sharp, full of
confidence , terrorising defences and scoring for fun.

Is Bielsa trying to justify the Bamford purchase price by starting with him?
Is he relying too heavily on Eddie to put things right when Bamford is having
yet another off day?

Could it be that he's using Bamford to tire out defences to pave the way for
the fresh legs and scoring habit of Eddie? Perhaps he was so impressed by
Bamford's training ground exquisite volley that he's convinced he can

replicate the same in real live matches?

I can't think why Edie wouldn't be in his starting line up. Have I missed
something?
