Whilst I can see the reason for the parachute payment as it gives promoted teams a chance to push the boat out a bit to try and stay there. Surely they oght to obide by the same sustainability rules if they come down! It gives teams like Fulham and WBA chance to spend as much as they want in the January window, knowing that if they go up they won't even be subjected to sustainability rules, and even if they don't go up, they've got more leeway than anyone else for a couple more years. Just like Villa last year.
