Great story.
I saw Jack's last appearance for Leeds. It was an end-of-season dead rubber
away at The Dell (Southampton, for the younger listers) {oops, was that
patronising? sorry}. Jack limped off injured half way through the second
half. I think I was about the only Leeds fan there - I certainly was the
only one in the section where I was - and I knew it was the end of his
career. I tried to give him a one-man standing ovation which none of the
Hampshire inbreds around me were inclined to join in.
