Our defence vs L’pool had never been formally introduced and had an average age of 12 3/4s - they did much better than most of us feared against Mane, Salah and Firminio
7 goals - 3 penalties (2 of which were contestable) - and there was a foul for Van Dijk’s header - no one was going to stop Salah’s second strike. Fulham’s second goal was lost in midfield - Philips - and then Dallas was the wrong side of his man…bad team defending there. Their third was just a good cross to a big beast of a forward - its the cross you have to stop there. Although the keeper got himself completely out of position as well. I was surprised that Struijk didn’t keep his place, with Koch / Cooper fighting it out for the other Chalf slot I know MB has done great things with many of the players but I think making Cooper a genuine Premier league defender might be a bridge too far. Generally we gave too much ground to Fulham in midfield…but their defence is a whole new level of shocking - they will go back down if they don’t get that sorted. > On 21 Sep 2020, at 01:13, Nicholas Armit via Leedslist <[email protected]> > wrote: > > I have heard people say this but what could Meslier do with the second?
