I agree. Dallas has done fantastic at left back but at this level it's obvious
he isn't a left back. The question is, if he doesn't play left back where does
he play ? I think he's got to give Ayling a run for his money at right wing
back. Ayling had a blinder against Liverpool but I thought he looked a bit
ponderous against Fulham.
Also, I think our midfield looked very static against Fulham when they were on
top. Klich runs about all over the place which when Hernandez isn't playing
leaves Philips really exposed. He worked hard but he was just left for dead at
times. We need another midfielder.
All the talk at the moment is about Dan James and this midfielder from Italy
but what about a left back ? and what about another central defender. Cooper
looked championship on Saturday and Koch is looking shaky although he has
showed he could be just bedding in. If Ben White had been playing in the last 2
games I'm convinced we would have got a point an Anfield and would have
comfortable beat Fulham. Maybe £30 million wasn't a bad price ?

I have heard people say this but what could Meslier do with the second? It

We've conceded 7 goals true, but three of those have been penalties. We'll
tighten that up no problem once our new signings get up to speed with the pace
of the prem. I think Koch will turn into a real find once he settles in a bit
more and will make a good partnership with Cooper. Struijk is a nice back up in
that position or as cover for Phillips. Rodrigo has failed to impress so far
but again feel he needs time, it's not through lack of effort, he's working
hard, just doesn't seem in sync with the other players yet.
Maybe a proper left back, I like Dallas but not sure that's his natural
position. Definitely need a replacement for Pablo, I hope we can land De Paul
but am glad we're not just throwing money around and are thinking carefully
about deals. Rumors of Dan James are interesting, maybe as a loan but is he
better than Costa or Harrison at this point?
Bamford, Costa, Ayling, and Klich have been standouts for me so far. Harrison
great against Liverpool but quiet against Fulham (though I admit I turned off
the last twenty minutes!) Phillips solid but lost his man too easily for
Fulham's second goal which got them back in the game.
Meslier, generally good but still learning, could have done better with
Fulham's second I thought. Overall though I like him a lot, way better than
Kiko as we all know by now.
Sheff U will be interesting, hoping for a 0-0 or 1-1 draw. 4 points from every
3 games throughout the season will be enough to keep us up and that's all I
care about!
9th place, above Man U and Chelsea, I'll take that any day!

Subject: [LU] How far in front to be comfortable?
I’m hoping this week we’ll see some transfer interest deliver a player or two,
but whilst we wait I’m just depressing myself watching MOTD, and thinking
Vardy, Son - just how do we cope with electric pace, and even quicker thinking?
It is clear that even being 4-1 up isn’t a comfortable position in this league,
even against limited opposition. The Sheffield United I remember hopefully
don’t pose the same threats up front (famous last words), so we maybe have 2
weeks to sort out the defensive frailties? I wouldn’t have been unhappy
continuing with the Koch/Struijk centre half pairing tbh - I think Cooper’s
limited pace will be a big factor in many games.
Winning feels good, but our defence?
