I agree Mike. We deserved a point. Their keeper made a couple of top class
saves.

No -- we were not fortunate. Fortune favours the brave, and you make your own
luck. And luck evens out. They missed two chances, and their goalie made two
incredible saves.
It's still all on & if we go in on Sunday with a chance -- I believe we will
take it.
I have a ringing obsession in my head that Pontus will score an own goal and
gift a penalty. If we need the win, he will provide it. He is that kind of
chap.
Same daft obsession-- Everton to go down.

But I am invariably wrong

Subject: [LU] Brighton

Is the point enough- time will tell,  what is certain is that we were very
fortunate indeed to get it. First half we were all over the place defensively
and were lucky that Brighton could not finish. Time and time again they got
behind us by playing simple balls wide or over the top and our defence was
clueless.  It could have been different if joffys hook goalwards in the first
minutes had not hit Cooper to prevent us going ahead but after that we really
struggled,  despite the Burnley game going our way  thanks to a, in my opinion,
dubious Spurs penalty that lifted the roof in the West Riding pub.  Brighton
attacked at ease and cut us open but poor finishes and good keeping kept us in
it.
Then the inevitable happened,  Rodrigo lost the ball, they attacked and
Llorente was outmuscled by Wellbeck who finished well ( thankfully he missed a
sitter of a header in the second half which would have killed us) Once in front
Brighton stopped playing a bit and resorted, weirdly,  to time wasting  and
acting and that gave us a lift and  by the end of the half we  had created a
few chances - a great strike by Klich from a corner was well saved.
Second half we were a bit more threatening with Klich having another shot
saved, Raph hitting the bar with a free kick and then narrowly failing to
connect to a brilliant cross by Rodrigo.  The fans mainly stayed onside but Rod
and Firpo did come in for some criticism.  There was also a huge rendition of "
Marcelo Beilsa " followed by some chanting "Radz time to go" and "sack the
board"- a bit harsh in my view but they have got this season massively wrong.
After that waccoe and ALAW  reverberated around the ground as fans urged them
on.
Finally cometh the hour cometh the man - maybe if Bielsa had given him more of
a chance in place of Robert's things would be different? - up stepped Joffy. A
sublime piece of skill left defenders on the floor and his little dink was met
firmly by Struik and we had rescued a point. Cue " limbs" as the kids say, as
we all went mental celebrating a goal that may or may not matter. Like many on
here I recall ' staying up' when we beat Brighton in 1982 and we know how that
ended up So a much better attacking performance than most under Marsch as we
did threaten but if we give Brentford the same amount of space down the flanks
we will get nothing next Sunday ( who knows maybe a defeat would suffice) So it
is out of our hands and in the lap of the gods but a point has at least given
us a chance of staying up and that is better than nothing - down to the wire -
come on Villa and then Newcastle Dave
