A real conundrum re the new manager. Skubala has, with the key players, got the
team playing well, although the acid test comes with the next 2 games. I would
give him those 2 games IF our only other option is the Ajax guy. We didn’t heed
the warning re Marsch’s sacking at Leipzig, and surely they’re not going to
replicate that, are they? I kind of get the feeling they’re hanging out for the
Vallecano guy, who sounds a better fit, but waiting until June obviously
carries a shedload of risks. I think there is something to be salvaged from
this rotten season though, but nothing I’ve read about Ajax’s ex manager gets
me excited.

Good performance yesterday - we are so close to being a decent team, but the
missed chances are killing us. Summerville this week, Sinisterra last week -
not sure why Bamford is always the one to kop flak really - he’s still a yard
off the pace, but we are so much better with him on the pitch - he clearly
didn’t want to come off yesterday either!

Much as I like the Adams/McKennie approach, it can’t be long before one of them
gets sent off, given the diving around and awful refs?
