That plan would kind of make sense if we'd done the 2 banks of 4 -denying the opposition space to play through us ploy.

Except we had 2 of the defenders providing the only width in the team -a job Stuyjk especially is unsuited to and the usual huge wide openspaces in our defence

I think I saw what Allardyce was doing with that lineup...........juststopbloody Kane & Son running riot and keep us in the game for the firsthour,

and then, if the other results were going in our favour, bring on some

attackers and really go for it. Also, the 6 CBs might have helped makeour

one attacking ploy (the long throw) more potent.
It wasn';t that bad a plan................for 90 secs.

The main bright point: I think we signed quite a few good young players

people and sign the right players to reverse it.
