That was my first time seeing Farke's Farkers in the flesh. The atmosphere
was indeed weirdly flat. Credit to the Welsh who managed to enliven things
for the last 20 mins with a nonstop rendition of an (obviously new) chant
about Yanick Bolasie.

S/ville & Georgenius really are thrilling to watch. I think they are both
destined for the very top of the game (almost certainly not in a white
shirt, so let's enjoy 'em while we can.) Other than that, I thought Kamara
is an excellent player. Piroe, too, had his best game for us. I know many
people moan that he's not playing as an out-and-out striker, but I think he
is great where he is in a very fluid front line. Interesting to see Gray
venturing into Alexander Arnold territory at times.

I thought Swa/sea were actually a pretty decent side and they had a really
good spell from min 15 to 45. We have had a nasty habit of conceding goals
in minute 46, so it was great to score one this time instead. Sw/sea had
been playing a noticeably high line, and Piroe had made a little run behind
several times, but we chose not to hoof it up.............then Georgenius
set off, and this time Ampadu launched it, and how brilliantly did the lad
finish it!
