For me, I think it’s hard to see this group surviving in the Premier League Damian - some of the group have the potential to play there, but we’ll need major investment in all areas if we go up. For example, much as I love Bamford, we can’t finish every season with our key forward injured, regardless of his ability to hit a cow’s arse with a banjo?
It’ll be nice to be able to engage in Premier League conversations after the weekend - just hoping that’ll be the case? > On 23 May 2024, at 08:22, Damian WALSH <[email protected]> wrote: > > >> >> Now for the defeatist bit. >> If we do lose, I am quite confident that Farke can build a side to >> challenge in this division next year, it is what he does > > For the even more defeatist bit: I'm sure that Kev is right - but I worry > that if we don't go up this year then we will lose too many PL standard > players this summer and then we would go up next year with a (admittedly > good) Championship level squad and poor old Farke would find himself in the > same position as he was in with Norwich ie going up to come straight back > down again. > > I might be kidding myself but I think our current squad doesn't need any > drastic surgery to compete in the PL... > > Damian > > Le mer. 22 mai 2024 à 16:36, Kevin Lewis via Leedslist <[email protected]> > a écrit : > >> >> > _______________________________________________ > Leedslist mailing list > Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist > To unsubscribe, email [email protected] > > Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ > > Dave Dowden, a legend, a Totty Twin, a pie man!
