I've said this before and I'll say it again.............we have to realise
that the pernicious effects of MONEY and AGENTS WHO WANT A CUT OF THAT
MONEY have completely changed the football ocean that poor little Leeds
United are struggling to swim in. All the best players just rise to the
top. That is why we have lost our 3 best players. But the corollary is also
true..........no good player, or to be more accurate, no agent of a good
player, is going to even contemplate coming to play for Leeds United.

So all these numpties online who are whining about the 49ers pocketing the
money and not buying anybody are totally unrealistic.

A) There is nobody out there we could realistically buy who would make a
difference, and B) If we do manage to persuade a decent player to come,
we're going to have to not only pay them way over the Championship average,
but we're going to have to throw in the much-derided release or loan
clauses to their contracts.

Our only hope is to somehow find one or two nuggets...........either
youngsters from the lower divisions, or players from obscure leagues
overseas........who will see joining Leeds as a step up and will,
eventually, develop into top players.

Without Summerville and Georgie, our attack yesterday was completely
toothless. But to hope that this week we will go out and buy some other
brilliant forwards who will improve that situation is totally deluded.

I hope I'm wrong..............maybe we'll make Norwich an offer they can't
refuse for Rowe, and, more importantly, his agent will reluctantly conclude
that a move to Leeds is his best option because the French Div One teams
are not prepared to pay as much............and maybe Rowe will prove to
make a diiference. But I'm not holding my breath!
