I think everyone played well but you had to be mainly impressed with the 2 new midfielders Tanaka and Rothwell. Strangely, the injuries to Gruev and Ampedu seem to have made us more adventurous which is definitely a good thing. Rothwell was my man of the match. I like the way he doesn't always play the easy pass and this makes us less predictable in our build up. I'm still a bit concerned that against a better team his defensive abilities may come into question but last night he was great. Takana is my sort of player, very Battyesque. Does all the simle things effectively and neatly and looks to always be available to keep the team ticking along. Love him.
