A real fun day - as comfortable a victory as you can get , a punch up at the bus stop and my sons mate brought me some beers to watch the boxing .The fight at the bus stop was tremendous, 2 blokes , probably in their 60s , started with the verbals " why you moaning we've just won 4 0" started it. Then accusations of who had been to more games, good banter quite funny comments re prison and hospital then one called the other bald and proper punches were exchanged., much to the delight of many of us in the queue. Ended with an offer of a handshake but when the other fella fell for it he got the thumb to the nose response. Funny stuff Anyway as to the game, pre match it was a potential banana skin in the atrocious weather - the wind was mental- a possible Wigan or Barnsley 89. Thankfully the other option was a stroll and that's what it turned into. The players under pressure Solomon and Aaronsson both shut their critics up even if only briefly. Fans have wanted Solomon to produce more as a supposed Premiership player, well today he had 2 assists and a cracking goal. His first assist a proper wingers run beating players and then putting in a great cross for the onrushing James to prod home. The second assist , he was given the ball by an appalling blind pass by their fullback ran forward and fed Aaronsson who took full advantage. His goal a great finish when fed by Piroe. Aaronsson took his goal well and also linked up brilliantly with Bogle for our second and decisive goal The other player under pressure, Meslier, had a very easy afternoon, they offered nothing apart from one ( offside?) breakaway when Mes came out to close down the angle and the lad fired miles over Oxford, like Derby and Plymouth were absolutely awful and we were on a different level. Their incompetence best illustrated by the keeper ignoring the wind and on 3 consecutive occasions kickingit straight into touch - brain dead So easy peasy again at home but we need to sort things out away from home Dave _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected]
