I said EXACTLY the same last night Nick about 2 Farke teams - it was like a
game of chess as football, and aside from a bit of pace there often wasn’t much
between the teams. Aside from the 3 points, there was zilch to recommend that
game. Scoring after 31 seconds meant we instantly went into ‘hang on’ mode too
- it’s as far from Bielsa-ball/excitement as it’s possible to get, but unless
something goes badly wrong it’s going to get us promoted. As I also said last
night, you’d have to be one hell of an optimist to think these tactics will
work in the Premier League?

It sounded deathly quiet on tv, and a couple of times I just wandered off so
tedious was it. I’m amazed the crowd doesn’t chant Attack Attack Attack for the
full 90 minutes to get the message across - if this bore to win approach was a
one-off against the odd opponent fair enough, but it’s every chuffing game, and
it’s sucking any enjoyment out of watching games for me. Couldn’t wait to turn
over for Traitors tbh :-)
